Reviewers are invited for manuscripts that match their clinical, scientific, or methodological expertise. Approved reviewer status helps IJCI match you with suitable manuscripts; it does not create a public profile by default.

• Provide constructive, evidence-based comments for editors and authors.

Editorial appointments are based on documented expertise, scholarly activity, professional standing, specialty coverage, and the journal's current needs. Confidential manuscript access is granted separately when a role requires it.

• Advise within genuine areas of expertise.
• Support editorial standards, independence, and research integrity.
• Protect confidential author, reviewer, and manuscript information.
• Disclose conflicts and recuse when appropriate.

What happens after you apply

1. Confirmation. You receive an application reference number and confirmation email.
2. Review. The Editorial Office reviews your CV, professional information, research profile, and journal fit.
3. Update. Accepted applicants receive role-specific next steps. The office may also ask for clarification or additional verification.
4. Start serving. If appointed, you can update your availability or step down later by contacting the Editorial Office.

Privacy & public listing

Confirmed Editorial Board appointments may be displayed publicly using professional information such as name, degree, institution, specialty, country, ORCID, or research-profile links when available. Application CVs and personal contact information are not published.

Peer reviewers are not publicly listed by default. Reviewer identity and confidential reports are handled according to the peer-review and privacy policies.

Applications are reviewed for documented expertise, professional standing, scholarly fit, and current journal needs.
Submitting an application does not guarantee appointment, reviewer invitations, editorial access, or manuscript acceptance.
The Editorial Office reviews complete applications and contacts applicants when there is an update or a role-specific next step.
CVs, email addresses, and application records remain private to authorized editorial administrators.
